This privacy notice describes how we might use your information when you download and use our mobile application — Frend App.

In this privacy notice, if we refer to:

  • Account means a unique account created for You to access our Service or parts of our Service.
  • Services we are referring to our App, and other related services, including any sales, marketing, or events.

The purpose of this privacy notice is to explain to you in the clearest way possible what information we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have about it. If there are any terms in this privacy notice that you do not agree with, please discontinue use of our Services immediately.

1. What information do we collect?

Personal information you disclose to us us

In Short: We collect as little as possible personal information to fulfill your experience.

We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you register on the App, express an interest in obtaining information about us or our products and Services when you participate in activities on the App or otherwise when you contact us.

The personal information that we collect depends on the context of your interactions with us and the App, the choices you make, and the products and features you use.

If you choose to sign in as an Anonymous user, none of your personal data will be collected. Your experience of our services may be limited, as some of our features require personal information that can be used to identify you.

The personal information we collect may include the following:

  • Personal Information Provided by You
  • When you sign in with Google, Apple, or Windows account, we collect your name, email address, and avatar image. Additionally, we collect your phone number and delivery address if you choose to use reservations and delivery features.
  • Payment Data
  • We may collect data necessary to process your payment if you make purchases, such as your payment instrument number (such as a credit card number), and the security code associated with your payment instrument. Information collected automatically

In Short: We collect usage data, that does not identify you to improve our Services performance.

We automatically collect certain information when you visit, use or navigate the App. This information does not reveal your specific identity (like your name or contact information).

Analytics Data

We use Google Analytics for Firebase to help us collect and analyze data on how our App and services are used. The type of information collected may include device and usage information, your geography, session duration, device characteristics, operating system, language preferences, information about how and when you use our App, and other technical information.

  • How it helps
  • This information is primarily needed to maintain the security and operation of our App, and for our internal analytics and reporting purposes.
  • Data Retention
  • Retention of user-level data, including conversions, is 2 months. For all other event data, retention is 3 months.
  • Opt-out
  • You can opt-out from providing us with analytical data by navigating into account settings in the App.

Performance Data

We use Firebase Performance and Firebase Crashlytics to help us to collect and analyze data on how to improve our App.

Firebase Performance uses Firebase installation IDs to calculate the number of unique Firebase installations that access network resources, to ensure that access patterns are sufficiently anonymous. It also uses Firebase installation IDs with Firebase Remote Config to manage the rate of performance event reporting. Additionally, it uses IP addresses to map performance events to the countries they originate from.

Firebase Crashlytics uses Installation UUIDs to measure the number of users impacted by a crash and minidump data to process NDK crashes. The minidump data is stored while the crash session is being processed and then discarded.

  • How it helps
  • Firebase Performance notifies us about App performance in different devices to help us improve the App.
  • Firebase Crashlytics notifies us about App crashes and helps us to debug them.
  • Data Retention

    Firebase Performance keeps installation and IP-associated events for 30 days and de-identified performance data for 90 days. Firebase Crashlytics retains crash stack traces, extracted minidump data, and associated identifiers for 90 days.

  • You can opt-out from providing us with performance data by navigating into account settings in the App.

Location Data

We use your device precise location data to provide you with accurate results on your search queries. Note, however, if you choose to opt-out, you are not able to use most aspects of the App Services.

  • Location data is an important tool to provide you with accurate content based on your preferred distance radius.
  • Data Retention
  • We do not retain your device precise location data.

  • Opt-out
  • You can opt-out of allowing us to collect this information either by refusing access to the information or by disabling your Location setting on your device.

2. How do we use your information?

In Short: We process your information for purposes based on legitimate business interests, the fulfillment of our contract with you, compliance with our legal obligations, and/or your consent.

We use personal information collected via our App for a variety of business purposes described below. We process your personal information for these purposes in reliance on our legitimate business interests, in order to enter into or perform a contract with you, with your consent, and/or for compliance with our legal obligations. We indicate the specific processing grounds we rely on next to each purpose listed below.

We use the information we collect or receive:

  • To facilitate account creation and login process
  • If you choose to link your account with us to a third-party account (Google, Apple, or Windows) we use the information you allowed us to collect from those third parties to facilitate account creation and login process for the performance of the contract.
  • Request feedback
  • We may use your information to request feedback and to contact you about your use of our App.

  • To manage user accounts
  • We may use your information to manage your account and keep it in working order.

  • Fulfill and manage your orders
  • We may use your information to fulfill and manage your orders, bookings, payments, returns, and exchanges made through the App.

  • Administer prize draws and competitions
  • We may use your information to administer prize draws and competitions when you elect to participate in our competitions.

  • To deliver and facilitate delivery of services to the user
  • We may use your information to provide you with the requested service.

  • To respond to user inquiries/offer support to users
  • We may use your name and email to respond to your inquiries and solve any potential issues you might have with the use of our Services.

3. Will your information be shared with anyone?

In Short: We only share information with your consent, to comply with laws, to provide you with services, to protect your rights, or to fulfill business obligations.

We may process or share your data that we hold based on the following legal basis:

  • We may process your data if you have given us specific consent to use your personal information for a specific purpose.
  • Legitimate Interests
  • We may process your data when it is reasonably necessary to achieve our legitimate business interests.
  • Performance of a Contract
  • Where we have entered into a contract with you, we may process your personal information to fulfill the terms of our contract.

  • We may disclose your information where we are legally required to do so in order to comply with applicable law, governmental requests, a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal processes, such as in response to a court order or a subpoena (including in response to public authorities to meet national security or law enforcement requirements).

  • Vital Interests
  • We may disclose your information where we believe it is necessary to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding potential violations of our policies, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the safety of any person and illegal activities, or as evidence in litigation in which we are involved.

4. How long do we keep your information?

In Short: We keep your information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this privacy notice unless otherwise required by law.

We will only keep your personal information for as long as it is necessary for the purposes set out in this privacy notice unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law (such as tax, accounting, or other legal requirements). No purpose in this notice will require us to keep your personal information for longer than the period of time in which users have an account with us.

When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal information and account has been inactive for over a year, we will either delete or anonymize such information, or, if this is not possible (for example, because your personal information has been stored in backup archives), then we will securely store your personal information and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible.

5. How do we keep your information safe?

We have implemented appropriate technical and organizational security measures designed to protect the security of any personal information we process. However, despite our safeguards and efforts to secure your information, no electronic transmission over the Internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, so we cannot promise or guarantee that hackers, cybercriminals, or other unauthorized third parties will not be able to defeat our security, and improperly collect, access, steal, or modify your information. Although we will do our best to protect your personal information, transmission of personal information to and from our App is at your own risk. You should only access the App within a secure environment.

6. What are your privacy rights?

In Short: You have full rights to access and control your personal information. You may review, change, or terminate your account at any time.

You have full rights to access and control over your personal information. These include the right (i) to request access and obtain a copy of your personal information, (ii) to request rectification or erasure; (iii) to restrict the processing of your personal information; and (iv) if applicable, to data portability. If we are relying on your consent to process your personal information, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. Please note however that this will not affect the lawfulness of the processing before its withdrawal, nor will it affect the processing of your personal information conducted in reliance on lawful processing grounds other than consent.

Account Information

In Short: We aim to protect your personal information through a system of organizational and technical security measures.

If you would at any time like to review or change the information in your account or terminate your account, you can log in to your account settings and update your user account.

Upon your request to terminate your account, we will deactivate or delete your account and information from our active databases. However, we may retain some information in our files to prevent fraud, troubleshoot problems, assist with any investigations, enforce our Terms of Use and/or comply with applicable legal requirements.

Opting out of email marketing

You can unsubscribe from our marketing email list at any time by clicking on the unsubscribe link in the emails that we send or by contacting us using the details provided below. You will then be removed from the marketing email list — however, we may still communicate with you, for example to send you service-related emails that are necessary for the administration and use of your account, to respond to service requests, or for other non-marketing purposes.To otherwise opt-out, you may: Access your account settings and update your preferences.

7. How can you review, update or delete data we collect from you?

You have the right to request access to the personal information we collect from you, change that information, or delete it in some circumstances. To request to review, update, or delete your personal information, please visit account settings in the App.

We update this privacy notice from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by an updated "Revised" date and the updated version will be effective as soon as it is accessible. If we make material changes to this privacy notice, we may notify you either by prominently posting a notice of such changes or by directly sending you a notification. We encourage you to review this privacy notice frequently to be informed of how we are protecting your information.
